Camp Happiness of Niagara County is made possible through the generosity of the Lockport Elk’s Lodge #41 in Lockport NY and their volunteers and fundraising efforts to keep the costs down for the campers.

 

Camp Happiness originally began in 2008 with the Intandem Day Programs. Empower was invited to join in 2015 and our day programs have gone each year since. Camp originally started at Camp Kenan in Barker, NY and moved to Wilson- Cambria Volunteer Fire Company 4631 Cambria-Wilson Rd, Lockport in 2024.

The Camp Happiness Committee consists or Elk’s Members, Intandem Staff and Empower Staff. This awesome committee begins meeting in January, in order to plan and organize camp. They strive to make the camp week better and better each year and are always successful at that.

 

Throughout the week there are many fun scheduled group activities for all abilities such as:

 

• Two Horse Drawn Carriage ride

• “Flower Planting”

• “Inspired Workshop”-arts and crafts

• “Center Stage” –karaoke

• “Move and Groove” –music and moving

• “Lucky Numbers Lounge”-bingo

• “Jeopardy Junction”

• “Sensory Station” – water/sand

• “Puttering Around”-putt-putt golf course

• “Blaster Ball” –Laser game

• Foam Party

• “Power Play Zone” -lawn games

• Bubble Show

• Niagara County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Demonstration

• Niagara County Sheriff’s Department Helicopter landing

• And more

 

It’s a very busy week, but loads of fun for everyone. Each year the people that we provide supports to, speak about camp all throughout the year, as they can’t wait for that amazing week to come around again.
